Market of valuation services developing positively, 406 valuers get certificates, says expert

Kyiv, November 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The introduction from November 1, 2013 of a new direction of property valuation for tax purposes had a positive impact on the development and condition of the appraisal services market of Ukraine and as of November 20 this year the State Property Fund (SPF) had issued 406 certificates to subjects of evaluation activity on the new direction.

The issue was discussed at a round table at Interfax-Ukraine with the participation of the leaders of Ukrainian public organizations, including the Association of Specialists of Banking Estimation of Ukraine, the Union of Valuers of Ukraine, the Union of Land Valuers, and the Union of Real Estate Specialists.

"The market has started developing and is being saturated by the subjects of assessment and specialists, who have received certificates of evaluators, which proves there is no lack of specialists on the market," the head of the executive council of the Association of Valuers of Ukraine, the member of the examination commission at the SPF, Kostiantyn Chernysh, said.

According to him, since the beginning of the month the number of certified valuers who can perform estimation for tax purposes has increased in Ukraine by 50. On the specified date, about 2,000 individuals had passed the exam and information about 1,700 appraisers had been included in the state register of valuers and the subjects of estimation activities, Chernysh said.
