Kyiv, July 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine's former transport minister and the former deputy head of the all-Ukrainian association Batkivschyna, Yosyp Vinsky, has said that MP Viktor Lozinsky, who is charged with involvement into the death of a Kirovohrad region resident, was included into the BYT's election list at the personal request of the bloc leader Yulia Tymoshenko.

"There were certain doubts concerning Lozinsky's candidacy, and I did not give my consent ti putting this man on the list for three weeks. He was included on the list under a personal decision of the party leader – [Premier] Yulia Tymoshenko," Vinsky said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.

"That is why the decision to include Lozinsky on the list was a personal decision by Yulia Tymoshenko," he said.

As reported, on June 16, Valeriy Oliynyk, a 55-year-old resident of Kirovohrad region, died as a result of an incident involving former Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko MP Viktor Lozinsky, the former prosecutor of Holovanivsk district, Yevhen Horbenko, and the former chief of the district police department, Mykhailo Kovalsky.

On July 3, the Ukrainian parliament canceled the deputy immunity of Lozinsky at his own request. The former MP is currently on the wanted list.
