Road quality improvement in Ukraine annually requires UAH 50 b over ten years, says Ukravtodor

Kyiv, May 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) believes that to bring the road network to a proper state annual investment of UAH 40-50 billion in the road sector over ten years is required, state road agency Ukravtodor Head Yevhen Prusenko said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Monday.

According to him, this volume of funds would allow the required volume of high quality road works to be carried out.

As reported, previously Ukravtodor announced its intention in future to continue working with international financial institutions, particularly the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the European Investment Bank, to raise funds for the construction and reconstruction of roads.
