Sterligov's wife presents in Kyiv her book about man-woman relations
Kyiv, April 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The wife of the famous Russian political and public activist German Sterligov, Alena Sterligova, has presented in Kyiv a book entitled "Beaten by the Husband… (or What I Had to Go Through with German Sterligov)" that deals with the problem of male-female relationships, the institution of the family, raising children, as well as the environmental problems that her husband is concerned with.
"This book is a woman's perspective on the things that I went through together with German, from a millionaire to peasant so to say. I experienced what means to be wealthy woman, and what it means to live a real natural life. The book was born by accident. When it was out, I began to receive letters, women came to me. We have a very one-sided view of the fact that the happiness of a woman is her career, and that she has to be strong. We all wanted to become women who can stop a galloping horse and enter into the hot hut, and from this we have become unhappy. The folk wisdom, which has always been that the power of a woman lay in her weakness, never went away," she said at a press conference hosted by Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday.
According to her, the book "Beaten by the Husband..." tells of how woman can be happy without making a career, but just being wife and mother, and that she can feel safe with her husband as if she is behind a stone wall, which you don't want to leave," Sterligova said.
She pointed out that nowadays a marriage for life is a rarity.
"Any divorce is a tragedy for the people because it is betrayal, or disappointment, plus an irreparable tragedy for the children. And the book tells how to save your marriage. And when a woman knew that the divorce wasn't acceptable, then she was responsible to her choice and the preservation of the family. When you realize that this is forever, then you start to adjust to the person, and the relationships that seem to be destroyed are building up again, and suddenly happiness comes again. A woman should make efforts to save the family, but it is work, you need to be always different, interesting, and curiously enough obedient," the author added.
However, Sterligov's wife also noted that the boys must also be brought up as real men to teach them how to make decisions, to protect the woman and take care of them.
"The material component, the protection, direction of the family are always on the man's shoulders, while microclimate, relationships, man's desire to carry his woman in his arms depends on the woman. A man is rather physiological, he is attracted by the femininity of the woman, a man loves with his eyes," she said.
Speaking about the education of their children, Sterligova said she often faces the question that her children live in isolation.
"My 11-year-old son earns 60,000 [roubles] per week, bakes and sells bread, built a bakery, while child doesn't live in the city, he sits in front of TV or computer. He has to develop, to learn something. from 12-16 boys do a great work, the eldest son, for example, is building a "town of craftsmen." And when asked what he would do when he came to town, I say that you can teach a monkey to press these buttons. Civilization is primitive. I as a grandmother learned how to use the iPad. When a person is able to live in nature, making money, she will adapt everywhere," she said.
Sterligov's wife also said that her book covers the environmental issues her husband deals with, including his followers in Ukraine. The Ecological Army of Ukraine Party, which wants to free land from chemicals, plastics, things that destroy nature, our children, has been created" the author said.
Speaking about the title of the book, Sterligova said her name should not be understood word by word. "The name reflects the essence of this little book. Plus every author wants to call the book for it to be attractive. Topics of beatings, betrayals attract our society. But it is not only a beautiful title, first of all, the book makes a sense," she said.
German Sterligov is Russian political and social activist, entrepreneur, manager, and one of Russia's first multimillionaires. He was a pioneer creating the first Russian Mercantile Exchange Alice. Sterligov is chairman of the "Society of ancient literature lovers", the founder of the Anticrisis Settlement and Commodity Center and the board chairman of the International Reserve Settlement System.
