Ukrainian Center for Education Quality Assessment ready for testing
Kyiv, April 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ukrainian Center for Education Quality Assessment has reported of its full readiness for holding tests.
"Currently there are no technical obstacles for holding education quality assessments in Ukraine, and we can hold tests in History of Ukraine on May 6," Director of the center Ihor Likarchuk said at a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine news agency on Tuesday.
He said that the center has officially finished all the preparation work. Some 5,216 test sites were established, 84,000 test rooms were approved and over 130,000 personnel trained to conduct the tests.
Likarchuk said that all the 462,000 test takers have received the invitation letters, though some of the letters have been returned because of mistakes in addresses. The participants will be able to print the invitation letters from their personal page at the Web site of the center if they have not received one.
The center has taken several measures on information safety. However, no information leaks have been reported.
According to Likarchuk, to diminish the risk of the corruption of test results, the procedures for the test itself and test paper processing have been made stricter. The completed test sheets will be sent to other regions.
To prevent forgery of test completion certificates, the universities will be able to check the submitted certificates data with the center's online register.
Over 9,000 university representatives will monitor the testing procedure.
