Rating of best Ukrainian companies in corporate social responsibility presented in Kyiv, SCM top

Kyiv, April 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A survey of openness and the activities of Ukrainian businessmen in the field of corporate social responsibility was presented at Interfax-Ukraine in Kyiv on Wednesday.

The organizer of the rating of socially responsible companies is the Hvardiya Ukrainian rating magazine (the Halytski Kontrakty publishing house).

CJSC System Capital Management (93 points) was first in the rating of Ukrainian companies. The organizers of the rating said that in 2008, SCM presented a report on its stable development drawn up according to Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards.

Donetsk Fuel-Energy Company (DTEK) was second with 86.4 points. The rating organizers said that the company laid the foundation for a systematic approach to social investment and was first in Ukraine to draw up a report on corporate social responsibility among industrial structures.

CJSC Kyivstar GSM was third with 86.4 points. The company was the first to integrate corporate social responsibility in its business strategy.

Nemiroff Holding was fourth with 82.5 points, and Niko Concern was fifth (81.6 points).

In addition, a rating of international companies operating in Ukraine was introduced.

The top-five includes TNK-BP Commerce Ltd. (83.7 points), Siemens Ukraine (78.4 points), OJSC SUN InBev Ukraine (67.2 points), Coca Cola Beverages Ukraine Limited (65.1 points) and Intel Ukraine Microelectronics LTD (63.1 points).

The Hvardiya Ukrainian rating magazine has conducted the rating for the second year. A total of 65 companies took part in the rating.
