Kyiv, September 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – First Secretary of Luhansk regional committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine (CPU) Spyrydon Kilinkarov, who is No. 4 on the CPU party ticket, has said that the Regions Party will use falsification and administrative leverage to win at the parliamentary elections in Luhansk region.

"The election campaign in Luhansk region is on the verge of serious contradictions and conflicts with the Regions Party. Practically no other political parties, apart from the Communist Party of Ukraine and the Regions Party, are of interest to voters in our region. The forms and methods of political fight are more cynical today than during any other election campaign. The election commissions are formed exclusively for a specific political force by political parties that don't have structures. Through these parties, the Regions Party brings its members to the commission," he said at a press conference hosted by Interfax-Ukraine on September 6.

The politician said that according to polling data, the Regions Party's list has no chance of winning the elections in Luhansk region.

According to Kilinkarov, voters in Luhansk region are tired of the current political elite.

"So, we are heading for renovation, and we think that today we have every chance to win in Luhansk region, which could become 'red' again. Everything will depend on the level of falsification," he said.

Kilinkarov also said that the CPU drew conclusions from all of the previous election campaigns and had trained people how to fight attempts to rig the elections in 2012.
