Ukrainian Association of Realtors to launch product for monitoring deals on Ukrainian real estate market
Kyiv, March 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ukrainian Association of Realtors, jointly with the International Real Estate Fund, plan to launch a new product in fall 2009 that can monitor the number of deals on the Ukrainian real estate market.
"We're working on a unique product for informing the market on the real number of deals. At present, no state body or organization, no one has this information in Ukraine. In the near future [in fall] we plan to launch the product," the association's president, Andriy Shulha, said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.
He did not disclose details of the project, adding that information would be given on the objects and not on the participants of deals.
"We propose to identify the object, not the entity, and thus provide information about the object, and give information on real deals," he said.
He said that at present the blueprints and the strategy for the product are being designed.
In addition, the Ukrainian Association of Realtors has agreed with the Union of Realtors of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Guild of Realtors to jointly draw up and promote the introduction of national standards for realtors' activities at the state level.
"Now the [standards] are at the stage of design by a joint working group... [and] later they will be ratified by the governing bodies of our organizations, and be submitted to the relevant state bodies for approval," Shulha said.
Asked whether the Ukrainian Association of Realtors plans to merge with the Union of Realtors of Ukraine, the association president said that the organizations are now uniting their efforts.
"Today the issue of mergers on the market has turned into joint efforts," he said.
The Ukrainian Association of Realtors has been operating on the Ukrainian real estate market since 1995.
The Union of Realtors of Ukraine was created in summer 2007 on the basis of the Union of Realtors of Kyiv, which was established in 1995.
