Media Group Ukraine launches video service with licensed content

Kyiv, May 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Digital Screens Company, which is a member of Media Group Ukraine Ltd., has launched the oll.tv video service, on which Ukrainian subscribers can view licensed films, serials and TV programs on-line.

As Director for Business Development at Media Group Ukraine Olha Havrylova reported at a press conference hosted by Interfax-Ukraine on Monday, the project is aimed at creating a modern, convenient and good quality video service with a wide range of licensed content.

"Oll.tv is strategically important project for Media Group Ukraine. It will allow us to diversify the methods of delivering video content to viewers," she said.

In turn, Marketing and Sales Director at Digital Screens Company Serhiy Hapochenko said that today the library of the source already contains thousands of hours of content, and this number is constantly growing.

Moreover, as Director General of Digital Screens Company Yevhen Kovnir said, now the video service will be available to all Ukrainian users on their personal computers, however in the nearest future the service will also be accessible on new smart-TV sets and also on HD-players and mobile devices.

"What is more, oll.tv will exclusively broadcast all the matches of Euro 2012 online in HD quality," Hapochenko said.

According to him, the video service will provide access free of charge as well as on subscription.

Digital Screens marketing and sales director noted that Euro 2012 matches would be broadcast on subscription for UAH 40, but the company will also offer 50% of discounts for broadcasts of these matches.

The services can be paid for via a credit card, Qiwi terminals and soon Ukrainians may use SMS and later Internet payment methods to pay for the video services, she said.

"I must remark that the payment for viewing and subscription will be significantly lower than Ukrainians are used to paying for cinemas or DVDs. Depending on the term of the subscription, we will offer discounts," he said.

Digital Screens Ltd. is the owner of oll.tv video service. The company was founded in August 2011 and is a member of Media Group Ukraine holding.

Media Group Ukraine is a media holding created in 2010. It includes Ukraine national TV channel, Football and Football + sports channels, Donbass regional TV channel, Media Partnership sale-house channel, Tele Pro production company and Digital Screens company.

System Capital Management owns 99.999% of the company's shares.
