All sides in the Geneva negotiations must recognize Ukraine's right to hold presidential elections, British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs William Hague told a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.

He also insisted that all interested sides fulfill their commitments and claimed the problem was that Russia had not taken any concrete steps to meet the commitments it undertook in Geneva.

The secretary said the success of upcoming Geneva negotiations depended on those factors.
