Court bans sale of Landrin Waferatto Classic sweets in Ukraine

Kyiv Economic Court under a claim of Soremartec S.A. (Ferrero Group) on September 17 banned the sale of Landrin Waferatto Classic sweets produced by OAO Landrin (Russia) in Ukraine, according to a press release of Ferrero Ukraine.

"After hearing the case on Friday, Kyiv Economic Court decided that Landrin Waferatto Classic sweets could not be sold in Ukraine, as this violates the rights of Soremartec S.A. to the international trademark registered by the State Department of Intellectual Property of Ukraine under No. 798984 (protecting the image of Raffaello sweets)," the document reads.

In addition, the court did not satisfy an appeal to declare the Raffaello brand invalid.
