Government starts paying debts of local budgets for utility services, says premier

The Cabinet of Ministers has paid a debt of local budgets for utility services, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.

"Today we start the unprecedented payment of debts for consumption of energy all over Ukraine. The budget allocates UAH 7.3 billion to local budgets to pay their debts for utility services," he said, opening a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
