The profit of government-supervised Ukrgasbank (Kyiv) in January-September 2013 amounted to UAH 858.995 million, which is three times more than in the same period in 2012 (UAH 290.775 million), the bank has said in a press release.

According to the report, the bank's profit in the third quarter was UAH 331 million.

The bank's interest income for the first nine months amounted to UAH 1.684 billion, and in the third quarter UAH 614 million.

Its net assets for the nine months increased by 11%, to UAH 23.2 billion. Its net worth reached UAH 4.4 billion.

The credit portfolio of Ukrgasbank increased by 6.8% and amounted to UAH 13.3 billion.

Its customers' funds increased by 39%, to UAH 9.6 billion.

As of October 1, 2013 the rate of return on assets was 5.48%, return on equity - 26.72%.

Ukrgasbank was created in 1993. The main shareholder of the bank at the beginning of July 2013 was the Finance Ministry (92.9998%).

Ukrgasbank's customers include more than 30,000 legal entities and more than 580,000 individuals. The bank is represented in all the regions of Ukraine with the network consisting of 234 offices.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, on July 1, 2013 in terms of assets the bank ranked 15th (UAH 20.812 billion) among the 176 banks operating in the country.
