Intergal-Bud aims to install autonomous energy systems in all its complexes by the start of the heating season, Commercial Director Hanna Laevska has said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

"We have set a goal to install autonomous energy systems in all complexes before the heating season. For all under-construction complexes, the developer covers 100% of the cost. In all our completed buildings, we are taking on the design and organization of the installation, but we are asking residents to pay for the equipment," she said.

Laevska noted that these are relatively small payments, about UAH 5,000-6,000 per apartment, which will ensure the functioning of all essential systems.

"We are negotiating with residents' initiative groups, and overall, our proposal has been positively received. Doing such work independently, rather than centrally, would cost residents much more – around UAH 20,000 per apartment," she said.

Previously, the company had used solar energy for outdoor lighting in some complexes but does not currently see expanding this practice as practical for other purposes.

"We consulted on the matter. To power a typical 25-story tower block and cover all the basic systems, we would need 400 square meters of solar panels – about one and a half times the size of the entire roof – adding inverters, batteries, and maintenance. The biggest issue is that during the winter, the efficiency of solar panels in Ukraine is low, so they wouldn't solve the main problem," Laevska said, adding that the company has opted for gas generation systems instead.

Intergal-Bud has been active in the residential real estate market since 2003. The company has constructed 170 buildings and currently has 20 residential projects in development. The total project area amounts to 4.6 million square meters. Since the beginning of 2024, the developer has commissioned projects totaling 180,000 square meters. According to Opendatabot data, the company's revenue for 2023 was UAH 959.2 million, with a net loss of UAH 22.9 million.
