Roshen to expand assortment of Kyiv Vechirniy sweets
Kyiv, March 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Roshen confectionery corporation, the largest confectionery producer in Ukraine, in 2009 will expand its assortment of Kyiv Vechirniy sweets, Roshen President Viacheslav Moskalevsky said at a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine news agency on Wednesday.
"This year we'are planning to expand the assortment of Kyiv Vechirniy sweets. The crisis has not affected the sweets… We will expand the range of packaging, meaning that the same sweets will be in different packs," he said.
"In addition, we are planning to start producing nougat sold by weight at the Vinnytsia confectionery factory," Moskalevsky said.
The price policy of the corporation will not change and prices for its produce are increased only because of increasing production costs.
"We have a fair price. We sell our product for the money it costs. If it is not bought for this money, we will produce less of the product," he said.
Roshen includes confectionary plants in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Mariupol, Kremenchuk, the Bershadmoloko dairy plant, and confectionary plants in Lipetsk (Russia) and Klaipeda (Lithuania). Roshen exports products to Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, the United States, Canada, Germany, Israel and other countries.
