KYIV. Oct 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The number of people who are interested in politics has decreased. In October, only 58% of the polled Ukrainians in one way or another declared their interest in politics, compared with May and June - 61.6%.

Results of the second stage of the all-Ukrainian sociological research "3D portraits of the 2019 presidential elections" show 14.7% of Ukrainians are actively interested in politics (19.9% in May-June), and 27.2% of respondents are not interested in politics at all (May-June - 18.5%).

"The more active the political agitation is, the less people want to hear it. The less they are interested in politics as such," said Olena Derevianko, head of the Ukrainian PR League, at a press conference at the Kyiv-based Interfax-Ukraine news agency on Tuesday.

She said there are fewer people who are satisfied with their status in society - 18.8% (May-June 23.4%).

"An ordinary person is never satisfied with his position and status in society. But when it comes to the question, 'Are you satisfied with your status from an economic point of view and financial situation?' the answer is quite specific. From the first to the second stage (May to October 2018) we see a decrease in people who are satisfied with their status in society," Derevianko said.

The poll was conducted for the Power Practice think tank by the sociological company Center for Applied Research from October 1 to October 12, 2018 throughout the entire territory controlled by Ukraine. Some 2,100 respondents were polled. The statistical margin of error of the survey is 3%.
