Seven parties can win seats on parliament - poll

KYIV. Sept 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Seven political parties can pass through the 5% barrier in the elections to the Verkhovna Rada, according to a survey conducted jointly by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, the Razumkov Center and the Socis Center.

According to the results of the survey, which was released at a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine news agency on Friday, if parliamentary elections were held in the near future, 14.5% of Ukrainians who intend to vote and decided on their choice would vote for Batkivschyna, 10% for the Servant of the People Party (party leader Volodymyr Zelensky), 8% for the Civil Position Party (party leader Anatoliy Hrytsenko), and 7.5% for the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko's Solidarity.

In addition, 7.3% of respondents are ready to cast their votes for the Opposition Bloc party, for the For Life Party (leader Vadym Rabinovych) and 5.2% for Oleh Liashko's Radical Party.

The remaining parties and political forces do not overcome the 5% barrier.

The survey was conducted from August 30 to September 9, 2018. The survey was conducted on all territories controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. The sample is representative by sex, age, region and type of settlement. A total of 10,005 people were interviewed.
