KYIV. May 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Companies affiliated with people's deputies in Ukraine earned UAH 4.1 billion on public procurement in 2017, according to an analysis conducted by the nongovernmental organization (NGO) Anti-Corruption Headquarters.

"In the past year people's deputies with their firms won tenders for over UAH 4 billion. These are 12,500 public procurement tenders to understand in the number of tenders," Chairperson of the Board of the NGO Anti-Corruption Headquarters Halyna Yanchenko said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday.

She said that 423 people's deputies have 2,423 companies affiliated to them or their relatives.

Yanchenko said that 94% of tenders where the lawmaker's firms won had no other bidders.

"82 out of 423 lawmakers with own companies and companies of their relatives won public procurement… three fourth of all procurement was won by firms of former members of the Party of Regions. Now they call themselves People's Will and Opposition Bloc… Petro Poroshenko Bloc, the largest parliamentary faction, is third," she said.

According to the analytical information provided by the Anti-Corruption Headquarters, firms the people's deputies from the People's Will won tenders totaling UAH 2 billion, the Opposition Bloc - UAH 1.1 billion and Petro Poroshenko Bloc - UAH 616 million.

The companies of non-factional people's deputies won public procurement tenders for UAH 297 million, the People's Front faction - UAH 50 million, Vidrodzhennia group - UAH 21 million, Samopomich - UAH 6 million and Batkivschyna - UAH 259,000.

As for the sums of the won public procurement tenders, the companies of the deputy head of the People's Will Stepan Ivakhiv (UAH 1.6 billion), MP from the Opposition Bloc Oleksiy Bily (UAH 467 million), member of People's Will Viacheslav Bohuslaev (UAH 442 million), People's Deputy from the Opposition Bloc Yulia Liovochkina (UAH 433 million), non-factional Oleksandr Herega (UAH 274 million) were among leaders.

They are followed by the firms of Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction member Maksym Yefymov (tenders for the amount of 257 million), Serhiy Liovochkin from the Opposition Bloc (UAH 207 million), MPs from Petro Poroshenko Bloc Dmytro Andriyevsky (UAH 139 million), Bohdan Dubnevych (UAH 116 million) and Oleksandr Reveha (UAH 38 million).

According to the information of the NGO, the top five organizers of these tenders are the National Police of Ukraine, JSC Turboatom, Antonov State Enterprise, Ukroboronprom, the state-owned enterprise Aviakon, Mukachevo municipal enterprise Mukachevvodokanal.
