Ukrainian air defense shot down three Russian helicopters near Hostomel airport, advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko said in Telegram.

"There has just been an attack by Russian helicopters with a landing on Hostomel airfield. There is a battle going on. Three enemy helicopters have been shot down," Gerashchenko wrote on his Telegram channel on Thursday.
