FC Metalist may appeal to Supreme Court of Switzerland against Lausanne court ruling

FC Metalist (Kharkiv) says it could appeal to Supreme Court of Switzerland against the recent ruling of the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne in the case on an allegedly fixed match between FC Metalist (Kharkiv) and FC Karpaty (Lviv) in 2008.

"The lawyers of the club are analyzing this decision, which consists of nearly 250 pages, and, all circumstances considered, are considering an appeal to the Supreme Court of Switzerland," reads a statement posted on the football club's Web site on Friday.

The statement also reads that along with the decision, the Court of Arbitration for Sport drew attention to the significant procedural irregularities in the investigation of the case in Ukraine.

FC Metalist will inform UEFA of the judicial decision, reads the statement.
