Brazilian striker Jajá Coelho remains a player of FC Metalist Kharkiv and may not leave the club, the club's sporting director, Serhiy Krasnikov, has said.

"Jajá still remains a Metalist player. He will most likely remain at the club. This is what he wants," he told Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday.

He also said that Metalist had not yet completed talks with Brazilian club Cruzeiro on the transfer of midfielder Diego Souza.

"We're close to completing the talks, but the documents have not yet been signed," he said.

In addition, Krasnikov said that Metalist was continuing to work on the transfer market.

"I cannot say anything concrete, because there are a few options. But we definitely need one or two more players, for example, to replace Willian Gomes, who moved to Cruzeiro, and maybe one more defender. In general, we are looking for players for all positions," he said.

Media reports recently said that Jajá Coelho could move from Metalist to Turkish clubs Trabzonspor or Kayserispor.
