FC Metalist Kharkiv has not yet received an invitation to participate in a joint CIS league or discuss a strategy of the tournament from the United Football Championship independent non-profit organization.

"We have not yet received [an invitation], neither electronically nor by fax. Nobody has officially contacted the club," Metalist Director General Serhiy Volik told Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday.

As reported, Chrnomorets Odesa has already received and accepted an invitation to attend a meeting of the United Football Championship, which is to be held in Moscow on February 18.

On January 29, the director of the United Football Championship, the president and head coach of FC Alania Vladikavkaz, Valery Gazzaev, said that on January 30 the organizing committee of the CIS league would sent out invitations to 36 Russian and Ukrainian clubs to participate in the championship and invite their leaders to attend a meeting in mid-February to discuss the strategy and structure of the league.

The creation of the United Football Championship independent non-profit organization was announced in late December 2012. Gazzaev became its director, whereas President of the Russian Football Premier League Sergei Pryadkin was appointed head of the supervisory board.

The supervisory board also includes President of FC Zenit St. Petersburg Alexander Dyukov, CSKA President Yevgeny Giner and FC Anji Makhachkala owner Suleyman Kerimov.
