Vita Semerenko to get three-room apartment and $55,000 bonus - sports minister
Ukrainian biathlete Vita Semerenko, who won a bronze medal at the 2014 Olympic Games, will receive a three-room apartment in the city of Sumy and a $55,000 bonus, Ukrainian Youth and Sports Minister Ravil Safiullin has said.
"We talked about bonuses when we were seeing off the team. I can say that today [Ukrainian President] Viktor Yanukovych congratulated Viktoria on winning the medal. Vita Semerenko will get a three-room apartment in Sumy, as well as a $55,000 bonus," he told the XSport television channel on Sunday.
As reported, Vita Semerenko took the bronze in the 7.5 km sprint at the Sochi Olympics on Sunday.
The 28-year-old athlete lives in Sumy.
