The leader of the Batkivschyna parliamentary faction, Arseniy Yatseniuk, is the one who will benefit more than anyone from the introduction of amendments to the Tax Code concerning the accounting and registration of taxpayers, as it may prevent the head of the UDAR parliamentary faction, Vitali Klitschko, running for president, Party of Regions faction member Yevhen Balytsky has said.

According to the press service of the Party of Regions, Balytsky noted that a member of the Batkivschyna faction, Ihor Brychenko, was the author of the amendment to the Tax Code and that members of the oppositional factions also voted for relevant bill.

"They [the opposition members] put up a person who promoted this amendment in order to eliminate a competitor," he said.

"We realize that in such a way Yatseniuk is doing away with his competitors," Balytsky said.

The press service of the Party of Regions also recalled that the author of the amendment to the Tax Code never appealed to the parliamentary regulations committee with a request to revise the procedure of passing it in the Verkhovna Rada.
