The further treatment of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko depends on the permission of the Ukrainian authorities, the chief doctor at Berlin's Charite Clinic, Karl Max Einhaupl, has said.

"Berlin's Charite Clinic offered Yulia Tymoshenko to continue medical treatment and after she undergoes the course of treatment in the hospital at home," Tymoshenko's Web site quoted him as saying, citing his statement to the German media.

Einhaupl said on February 23 that Tymoshenko's further treatment depends on the permission of the Ukrainian authorities and Tymoshenko herself. He said that the Charite doctors on Monday planned to examine the former prime minister for the first time in two months.

As reported, a Health Ministry commission analyzing the state of Tymoshenko's health concluded on February 22 that the ex-premier does not require any further medical treatment and follow-up care at the hospital.

According to the Health Ministry's press service, the recommendations regarding Tymoshenko's treatment and rehabilitation provided by doctors from the Berlin clinic Charite have been fulfilled.

Members of the medical commission said many of the physiotherapy procedures received by Tymoshenko are not in line with any practice or standard and they can have an adverse effect.
