A promotional campaign has been launched in Kyiv to support the U-16 European Basketball Championship in 2013, which will be held at the Sports Palace from August 8 to August 18, the press service of the EuroBasket 2015 local organizing committee has reported.

"The young players of the Ukrainian team declare their own ambitions and promise to show a first-class game from the advertising boards that have filled the city. All 16 team players participated in a photo shoot. It was a principled position of Ukraine coach Vitaliy Usenko, because basketball is a team game, where all players work towards a common goal," the press service reported.

According to EuroBasket Director 2015 Markiyan Lubkivsky, the main idea of the campaign was to show the faces of Ukrainian team players and demonstrate their inner strength and desire to win.

"The U-16 European Basketball Championship is held in Ukraine for the first time. Playing at home is a great honor for our team, but also a huge responsibility. I invite everyone to come to the Sports Palace and support our players. I'm sure that public support will inspire the players to win," he said.

The U-16 European Basketball Championship will be held at Kyiv's Sports Palace from August 8 to August 18, 2013. Sixteen European teams will participate in the tournament.
