Ukrainian defenders destroy 16 enemy UAVs out of 18, and Kh-59 missile

On the night of November 16, 2023, the Russians attacked from the south-eastern direction (Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia) with 18 attack UAVs of the Shahed type, the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.

"An air alert was declared in many regions, air defense was in operation. As a result of combat work, 16 enemy drones were destroyed by the forces and means of the Air Force," the AFU said.

In order to repel the attack, units of mobile fire groups, fighter aircraft, and anti-aircraft missile units were involved.

In addition, on the evening of November 15, an X-59 guided aircraft missile was destroyed in Poltava region.

Around midnight, the enemy also attacked civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv region with S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles. Previously, there were no casualties or injuries.
