Sybiha: Ukraine counts on Allies’ decisive action to ramp up support for Ukraine, increase pressure on Moscow
Ukraine expects decisive action from its allies to increase support for Ukraine and put pressure on Moscow in the face of massive missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian territory, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha said.
“Today, at Ukraine’s request, an extraordinary meeting of the NATO–Ukraine Council in the Political Affairs Committee format was held in response to Russia’s massive missile and drone attacks and IRBM use,” he said on X.
Sybiha noted that Ukraine has informed NATO allies of Russia's ongoing strikes on critical energy infrastructure.
He stated that immediate priorities remain strengthening air defenses, securing additional missiles, contributing to the PURL initiative, and supporting defense production, including interceptor drones.
“We count on the Allies’ decisive action to ramp up support for Ukraine, increase pressure on Moscow, and bring a lasting peace closer,” Sybiha stressed.
