Groysman asks for easier access of medicines used in EU to Ukrainian market
Ukraine's Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman wants to simplify the procedure for Ukraine to access medicinal products used in the EU.
"Monopoly of access to the Ukrainian market is artificially created. Everything is so thoroughly regulated that it is impossible to bring medicines used by EU citizens to Ukraine," he said, commenting on the bill on medicines presented by First Vice Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv.
"They won't allow the drug to enter the market of Ukraine because procedures last for months and years," he said.
As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers intends to send the draft law on medicinal products agreed with the parliamentary profile committee to the Verkhovna Rada.
The bill provides for reduction to ten working days the term Ukraine's Health Ministry's has to decide on registering medicinal products. Medicines that are registered by the relevant authorities in the United States, Switzerland, Australia, Canada or EU states will be regulated under simplified procedures.
