Ukraine calls on G7 to put pressure on Moscow - Yatseniuk
Kyiv expects the G7 summit not only to make statements on support to the country, but make serious decisions on Russia's actions on Ukraine, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said.
"We expect the G7 summit, which will take place next month, not just to state a clear position on support of Ukraine, but also make serious decisions on halting the Russian military aggression against Ukraine," Yatseniuk said after meeting with Canadian Foreign Minister Robert Nicholson in Kyiv on Monday, the Ukrainian government press service has reported.
On behalf of the Ukrainian government, Yatseniuk expressed his appreciation to the Canadian government and personally to Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper "for the high support of Ukraine, Ukrainians and our common fight for a free world."
