Speaker closes Rada's special meeting as bills not ready for consideration
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak has closed the extraordinary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada because the bills on its agenda have not been prepared properly for adoption.
The speaker said that the next meeting of the Verkhovna Rada would be held on November 19.
Of the three issues that were on the agenda of the parliament's special meeting on Wednesday, two - the bill on the public prosecutor's office and the bill on parliamentary elections - were not prepared properly due to a large number of amendments, Rybak said.
The bill on medical treatment of prisoners abroad was not prepared either, the speaker added.
Rybak said that the relevant committee sent all the bills on this issue back for revision. He said he had instructed the working group to come up with an agreed document, but the working group had failed to do so.
