Parliament speaker Rybak wants to resign due to health issues, vice speaker says
Ukrainian Parliament speaker Volodymyr Rybak has prepared an application for resignation due to health issues, Vice Speaker Ruslan Koshulynsky said.
"Let me inform you that Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Vasyliovych Rybak has written a statement of resignation due to health issues and required treatment. He asks to be relieved from the duties as Verkhovna Rada chairman," he said.
Parliament gathered on Saturday for a plenary meeting: 248 MPs have been registered in the session hall. There are 23 MPs from the Regions Party, 66 from Batkivschyna, 37 from UDAR, 35 from Svoboda, 32 from the Communist Party, and 55 non-affiliated deputies.
