Ukrainian speaker did not discuss state of emergency with president
Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Rybak says that, while he talked with President Viktor Yanukovych several times on Tuesday, they did not discuss the declaration of a state of emergency in the country.
"The president and I have talked more than once today, but we did not talk about the emergency situation issue," Rybak said.
The speaker said the president and he had discussed amendments to the constitution, "so that there is peace in the country, and conditions in which the negotiations should be continued."
