Defense forces shoot down 47 enemy UAVs, another 25 drones lost

From Sunday evening to Monday morning, the enemy launched an air attack on Ukraine with drone strikes, 47 enemy targets were shot down, and another 25 were lost, according to the AFU Air Force.

"As of 09:00, 47 Shahed—type attack UAVs and other types of drones have been confirmed shot down in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky and Odesa regions," the report says.

The Air Force noted that on the night of December 22 (from 09:00 on December 21), the enemy attacked by 72 Shahed—type attack UAVs and other types of drones from Russia’s Bryansk and Orel directions.

The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile forces, aviation, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the command added.

Meanwhile, due to the active counteraction of the Defense Forces, 25 enemy drone simulators were lost locally (without negative consequences).

The command also added that in Khmelnytsky and Kyiv regions, private enterprises and homes of citizens were damaged due to the Russian attack, without casualties, and assistance was provided to the victims.
