Aviation Service issues six route permits to Atlasjet-Ukraine, ten to UIA

The State Aviation Service of Ukraine commission for the issue of permits for air route operations at a meeting on June 9 approved six permits for international routes for Atlasjet-Ukraine.

According to an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent, in particular, the company received permits to fly on the Lviv-Moscow, Lviv-Madrid, Odesa-Moscow, Kherson-Istanbul, Zaporizhia-Istanbul, and Kyiv-Kutaisi routes.

Asked when Atlasjet-Ukraine will be able to start flights in accordance with the issued assignments, head of the airline Serhiy Podhorodetsky found it difficult to name a date and said that the company would wait for the decisions of the next meeting of the committee.

He added that the launch of the Kyiv-Lviv flight, which was scheduled for June 18, is likely to be delayed for some time.

In addition, the commission decided to issue the following permits to Ukraine International Airlines (UIA): Kyiv-Kutaisi, Odesa-Vilnius, Odesa-St. Petersburg, Odesa-Moscow, Lviv-Madrid, Vinnytsia-Gdansk, Vinnytsia-Berlin, and Kharkiv-Warsaw. The company also received permits for the domestic routes Kharkiv-Odesa and Lviv-Odesa.
