UEFA expects most fans to leave Kyiv after Champions League final, not to need accommodation
UEFA expects that most fans who come for the Champions League final in Kyiv on May 26 will fly back on charter flights after the end of the match, UEFA's press service has told Interfax-Ukraine.
When asked whether UEFA is concerned about the availability of rooms and prices for accommodation in Kyiv during the Champions League finals, the press service said that it was expected that the preferred option for most traveling fans would be charter flights arriving and departing on the day of the final, and therefore accommodation in hotels and other places of residence would not be needed.
UEFA also noted that transport and accommodation issues were being resolved by the Kyiv authorities and the local organizing committee, which will help plan the transfer for the finalist clubs and their fans.
