FC Metalurh Donetsk has signed a three-year employment contract with Irish defender Darren O'Dea.
"Darren O'Dea is a skilled footballer who has played for Glasgow Celtic in Scotland since 2006. Darren plays as a central defender and has a rich track record," the club's sporting director, Vardan Israelyan, said in an interview with the club's press service on Friday.
The Irish defender won the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish League Cup and participated in World Cup and European Football Championship qualifiers. O'Dea has played 18 matches for the Irish national football team and scored one goal.
