Russian Army uses phosphorus ammunition in attempts to capture Avdiyivka – Third Assault Brigade
The Russian occupation forces are using phosphorus bombs prohibited by the Geneva Convention during the offensive on Avdiyivka, the Third Separate Assault Brigade reported from the front line on Friday.
"Avdiyivka. Coke Chemical Plant … The occupiers use phosphorus shells, which ignite fuel oil tanks. Toxic smog is spreading throughout the plant," the brigade said in a Telegram message.
"Sixty aerial bombs each - day and night, enemy shelling from artillery and MLRS. Continuous assaults on armored vehicles and invasions of enemy infantry," is how the defenders from the Third Assault brigade describe the situation.
"As of now, this is the new ‘home’ of the Third Assault Brigade. Does it remind you of anything?" the brigade notes, which stood in Bakhmut direction for almost a year.
"But our units continue to stand up to the enemy with dignity, defend themselves and inflict record losses on the enemy," the Third Assault brigade said.
