Klitschko discusses assistance to Ukraine with Borrell
Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko met with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission Josep Borrell who is visiting Kyiv, and discussed with him issues of further assistance to Ukraine.
"I showed him the consequences of the morning attack on the capital of Ukraine. We visited a house in Holosiivsky district, where several floors of an 18-story residential building were damaged. Four civilians of Kyiv were killed and about 40 people were injured. In communication with Mr. Borrell, I noted the urgent need for further assistance Ukraine. Air defense systems, weapons, ammunition," Klitschko said in Telegram channel on Wednesday.
He said "partners must understand the seriousness of the moment, including for the peaceful future of Europe."
"Josep Borrell assured that the EU will continue to support and help Ukraine," Klitschko said.
