Polish farmers to block roads across the country on Jan 24 to protest grain imports from Ukraine
From 12:00 to 14:00 on January 24, Polish farmers will block roads throughout the country; it is possible that on this day protesters will block the Polish-Ukrainian border, inpoland.net.pl reported.
According to the report, the representative of the agricultural organization Solidarnośc, Adrian Wawrzyniak, called on all farmers and agricultural unions in Poland to join the protests on January 24. Farmers will take to the streets to protest against grain imports from Ukraine, against the European Union and ideas that, in their opinion, want to significantly limit crop and livestock production in Poland and the EU.
The National Council of Agricultural Chambers supported the upcoming protests, Polish media reported.
