Slovak truckers to resume blocking Ukrainian trucks at Vyšné Nemecké-Uzhgorod BCP from Dec 11
Slovakia's truckers association (UNAS) announced a decision, starting Monday, December 11, to again block the movement of trucks through the Slovak Vyšné Nemecké-Uzhgorod border crossing point (BCP), according to the UNAS Facebook page on Sunday.
"The truckers association of Slovakia (UNAS) decided on December 10, 2023 to continue the protest at the Vyšné Nemecké-Uzhgorod border crossing from December 11, 2023 from 15:00 until further notice," the association said.
Truckers warn that they "will block entry into the territory of the Slovak Republic for freight transport. Personal transport will in no case be restricted."
"The Presidium made this decision based on an assessment of the information received and its impact on the motor transport market in Slovakia. We join the protests that are being organized in Poland from November 6, 2023 and from December 11, 2023 also in Hungary," UNAS said.
