European Parliament to open office in Kyiv – media
The European Parliament has agreed to open an office in Kyiv at the request of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the Euractiv European publication, this is stated in the document of the European Parliament bureau.
The decision approved on Monday evening aims to facilitate relations with the Ukrainian parliament, particularly, to connect it with the European Parliament's "relevant committees" and to facilitate administrative work.
The bureau is a body of the European Parliament responsible for administrative decisions on the institution's internal functioning.
The European Parliament reportedly has a liaison office for each member state, which helps the Parliament's outreach with them, for instance, while communicating with stakeholders, organizing events and having relations with local media.
