Ukrainian air defense destroyed 14 enemy UAVs that attacked Ukraine on Wednesday night, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said.

"As a result of combat work by the forces and means of the Air Force in cooperation with the air defense of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard, all 14 enemy Shahed-131/136 drones were destroyed," the AFU said.

It is noted that from 20.00 on the evening of November 21 to 03.00 on November 22, the invaders attacked from the south-eastern direction (Primorsko-Akhtarsk-Russia) with 14 attack UAVs of the Shahed type and an X-22 cruise missile – from a Tu22M3 aircraft.

Units of mobile fire groups, fighter aircraft and anti-aircraft missile units within Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia and Khmelnytsky regions were involved in repelling the air attack, the department said.

It is noted that the X-22 cruise missile did not reach its target, fell in Zaporizhia region in an open area, and households of citizens were damaged by the blast wave. Preliminarily no casualties.
