Zaluzhny: Enemy loses around 10,000 soldiers, seven Su-25 aircraft, more than 100 tanks over month of active assault on Avdiyivka
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Valeriy Zaluzhny has reported the losses sustained by the Russian occupation forces over a month of active assault on Avdiyivka and thanked the Ukrainian soldiers for holding the defense of the town.
"It's been a month since the enemy started an active assault on Avdiyivka. A month of fierce fighting, endurance and courage of our defenders who continue to heroically hold the defense. Over this time, our defenders destroyed more than 100 enemy tanks, 250 other armored vehicles, around 50 artillery systems, and seven Su-25 aircraft. The total enemy losses in personnel are around 10,000 people," he said on the Telegram channel on Friday.
Zaluzhny thanked all the soldiers who are defending Avdiyivka.
"Thank you to the brigades, our units. Our infantry, artillery forces, tankers, intelligence, UAV operators, and medics. Every defender of Avdiyivka. I bow my head to those on the shield. Eternal memory and honor to them," he said.
