URCS awarded for restoration of country

The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) became the owner of the award in the special nomination of the main construction award UKRAINIAN SPECIAL BUILDING AWARDS IBUILD 2022 from the Confederation of Construction of Ukraine.

The URCS said on its official Facebook page that the nomination "For Support of Ukraine" marked the active participation of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society in the restoration of destroyed and damaged facilities as a result of Russia's armed aggression.

Since the beginning of the war, the society has been helping to build and staff shelters for internally displaced persons (IDPs), restore damaged houses and power grids.

The URCS in Lviv built two two-storey houses for temporary accommodation of pregnant women who left the places of active hostilities, and in Chernihiv region it is building temporary housing on an area of almost 4 hectares. The construction of temporary housing for IDPs in Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions continues. The URCS also plans construction in Zakarpattia region.
