Denisova: We agree not to disseminate data on number of prisoners
Ukraine will not disclose data on the number of prisoners of war, Liudmyla Denisova, Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, has said.
"We agreed not to disseminate data on the number of prisoners. We must do everything possible to exchange them," Denisova said at a briefing on Friday.
However, she noted that in some detention centers there are "prisoners of war of the Russian Federation, the Russian aggressor."
"We will monitor the observance of their rights, because we need to comply with the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War," Denisova said.
She also hopes that the Russian side will comply with this convention.
