French Foreign Minister confirms allocation of financial aid to Ukraine for EUR300 mln
French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian on Thursday had a telephone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba and informed him of Paris' readiness to allocate EUR300 million of financial assistance to Kyiv.
"The minister confirmed the allocation in the coming days of a financial assistance package of EUR300 million in accordance with the obligation of the President of the Republic (Emmanuel Macron) given to President (Volodymyr) Zelensky," the French Foreign Ministry said.
The document notes that Le Drian and Kuleba had a detailed discussion of the support provided to Ukraine by France together with its partners in the context of Russia's military aggression against Ukraine.
The French foreign minister assured his interlocutor that the French side would make its efforts at the EU level to tighten the sanctions burden on Russia.
