Fighting going on in Chernihiv region, occupiers robbing civilians – task force

As of Wednesday, March 9, fighting continues in Chernihiv direction, according to the Facebook page of the Pivnich (North) task force.

"The other day, the defenders of the region managed to destroy the enemy's forward command post and several columns with wheeled and armored vehicles, which unsettled him and broke the offensive plan. The situation is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the security forces defending Chernihiv region from occupiers... Russian units are surrounded our servicemen," the task force said in the statement.

At the same time, the occupying forces are resorting to looting and destruction of the property of civilians in the region. "In panic, the occupiers resort to brutal methods, they fire at civilians, rob and destroy their houses with artillery and tank fire," the Pivnich task force said.
