U.S. position on Crimea, Donbas remains unchanged – Volker
U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker has said the United States does not recognize the annexation of Crimea and occupation of Donbas.
I think this was stated clearly during the press conference of the presidents of Russia and the United States during their press conference, that there are different positions on issues of Crimea and eastern Ukraine. You heard that there is no movement about possible recognition of the situation with Crimea and no movement on eastern Ukraine. This is the principle issue of the talks, Volker said in an interview to 112.ua on Tuesday, commenting on the meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin on July 16 in Helsinki, Finland.
