Sentsov's health status said to be acceptable - Human Rights Council
The health of Ukrainian filmmaker Oleh Sentsov, who is incarcerated in Russia, is not in danger, the Federal Penitentiary Service told the Russian Presidential Human Rights Council.
"The council has received the latest information on the health of the convict Oleh Sentsov from the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service," a council spokesperson said.
In its letter, the federal agency said that Sentsov is under the constant supervision of prison staff and undergoes daily medical checks.
"He has been prescribed and receives supportive therapy aimed at maintaining his main organs and basic functions and preventing complications. No instances have been recorded of Sentsov refusing medical assistance or supportive therapy. The prisoner's health status can be described as acceptable," the letter said.
